Corrie ten Boom once said that if the devil can’t make you sin, he’ll make you busy. There’s truth in that. Both sin and busyness have the exact same effect—they cut off your connection to God, to other people, and even to your own soul.

Below are some ways you can participate in The Lent Journey with the Northeastern Seminary & Roberts Wesleyan Community.

Prayer
Ask and Reflect
Loving God, there is so much darkness in my life, and at times, I turn away from you. Take my hand and lead me out of the shadows of fear. Fill me with your truth and draw me closer to your unfailing love. Open my heart to recognize the depth of your grace, that it may bring light and renewal to my spirit. Free me from all that keeps me from you, and let your love be my guide.

Active Reflection
Take Action
Today, fast from sound. Turn off your music, TV, and phone, Power down anything that beeps or buzzes or blinks.
