Most of my struggles in the Christian life circle around the same two themes: why God doesn’t act the way we want God to, and why I don’t act the way God wants me to. Prayer is the precise point where those themes converge.
March 25
Below are some ways you can participate in The Lent Journey with the Northeastern Seminary & Roberts Wesleyan Community.

Prayer
Ask and Reflect
One way to calm your mind is by first calming your body. Take five minutes to consciously relax your body and focus on deep breathing. Afterward, spend another five minutes observing where your mind tends to wander. Offer these thoughts to God. Then, release them and open your heart to His love. Be open to any prayer He might be guiding you to say. Conclude by inhaling deeply, receiving God's love. Walk away with the awareness that every breath you take is a gift from God.

Active Reflection
Take Action
To keep prayer present throughout our Lent Journey, try setting a prayer reminder either on your phone or a physical reminder somewhere you will see it daily. These nudges can serve as gentle invitations to connect with God amidst your busy schedule. By intentionally weaving reminders into your daily routine, you'll cultivate a consistent awareness of God's presence, transforming ordinary moments into opportunities for sacred connection.
