March 28

My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think that I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road though I may know nothing about it. Therefore will I trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.

March 28

Below are some ways you can participate in The Lent Journey with the Northeastern Seminary & Roberts Wesleyan Community.

Active Reflection

Journaling

Do you feel weighed down, overly serious, or stuck in a critical mindset? How could celebrating God help shift these traits and lead you into new opportunities for growth and transformation?

Prayer

Ask and Reflect

O Lord Jesus Christ, who by thy death didst take away the sting of death: Grant unto us thy servants so to follow in faith where thou hast led the way, that we may at length fall asleep peacefully in thee, and awake up after thy likeness; for thy tender mercies’ sake. Amen. —The Book of Common Prayer

Active Reflection

Take Action

Find a quiet moment of stillness and solitude. Gently ask the Lord to speak to your soul. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and let the world fade away. Quiet your thoughts, soften your heart, and simply be in His presence, resting with Jesus.
