The Christian leaders of the future have to be theologians, persons who know the heart of God and are trained - through prayer, study, and careful analysis - to manifest the divine event of God's saving work in the midst of the many seemingly random events of their time.

Below are some ways you can participate in The Lent Journey with the Northeastern Seminary & Roberts Wesleyan Community.

Prayer

Ask and Reflect

O God, from whom all holy desires, all good counsels, and all just works do proceed: Give unto thy servants that peace which the world cannot give, that our hearts may be set to obey thy commandments, and also that by thee, we, being defended from the fear of all enemies, may pass our time in rest and quietness; through the merits of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
—The Book of Common Prayer

Active Reflection

Take Action

Take the day to fast from the noise of social media, stepping away from the constant flow of distractions. Let your heart and mind find peace in the silence. With each moment of stillness, draw nearer to God, allowing His presence to fill the space once occupied by screens and scrolling. Embrace the quiet, and let it deepen your connection to Him, your thoughts becoming more attuned to His voice and your spirit more aligned with His grace. Let this day be a sacred pause, a gentle retreat into His loving embrace.
